Imbroglio was designed for the Rattworks K240 hybrid motor. However it will spend most of its time flying J engines as the K240 will boost Imbroglio to over 7000’. (Update: Probably will not fly on K240, flies just great on a Skyripper J144)
It is an 4” airframe using tubes from Rokitman (centeringrings.com). The lower section is 48” long to handle the longish hybrid motors that it was designed for. The recovery section is 30” and topped off with a PML plastic nosecone. The fins are carbon fiber over Rohacell foam core.
A Missileworks RRC2x altimeter is fitted in the coupler between the two sections for dual deployment. Weight without motor is 75 oz. Recently being flow with the MARS altimeter with great success.
Paint is PPG Omni with a clearcoat.
Parachute is a homemade 70” ripstop hexagonal.
Several flights on this rocket including my Level2 cert. Has flow exclusively so far on the Skyripper J144. Looking to fly next season on the Contrail 54mm motors to higher altitudes.
